Throughout the Christian Greek Scriptures, we are told that ‘you are all children of God through faith.’ (Galatians 3:26, 4:6; Romans 8:14; Hebrews 12:7) This good news of the Kingdom had a profound effect on the early Christians. Though most were ‘unschooled, ordinary men’ (Acts 4:13), these commonplace disciples of a carpenter preached a message that conquered the Roman world, and has since proved to be one of the greatest powers for good on earth, in spite of the many errors of its adherents.

Today, the powerful message of sonship continues to move the minds of reflective men and women in wonderful and unexpected ways.  In the short time that we have operated this  website, which is wholly based on the kingdom message – the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man – we have received numerous comments about how knowing we are sons of God has changed lives.

We have heard from brothers and sisters, young and old, from various denominations, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and pastor of several churches and their missionaries.  All who find the message of sonship to be life changing!

In this article, we want to share the tremendous effect the message of sonship has been having on a sampling of our visitors with the hope that more who receive this message are moved to join themselves in union with Christ Jesus as faith-sons of the almighty and gracious First Father of All.

The Men in Addiction Recovery Missions

We begin with a few of the outstanding men residing in various recovery missions in the California.   These missions focus on assisting recovering addicts get free of their addictions and return to society as productive citizens.  We have heard from over 35 of these men, all of whom are recovering from addictions of various kinds.  Most have been homeless for years, out of touch with society and their families, lacking purpose, lacking hope.  Yet, to a man, they tell us that the message of sonship with God has profoundly changed their lives, their future outlook, and their relations with family and friends.  In respect of their privacy, we summarize their comments in this way:

These men tell us that the knowledge that they are sons of the Father has made them feel like they belong, that their life has purpose, and that no matter where they go from now on, they will always have family, for they view anyone who has faith in Jesus and a love for God as their brother.  They tell us their favorite articles are “The Faith of Jesus”, “Moving Forward in Faith”, “Ambassadors Substituting for Christ” andThe Glorious Heavenly Hope.”

They tell us that in spite of the terrible wrongs they have committed in the past, they now feel free.  They don’t have to carry around the baggage of sin and guilt.  They have a fresh start in Christ.  They accept the Father’s forgiveness of sin and are beginning to forgive themselves. They now feel washed clean and know that they have been given a second chance to live right.

They view the message of sonship as light; it does not weigh them down.  They are moved from the heart to make profound changes and that heart motivation is the reason why the message is so readily accepted.  Though some have been shot, stabbed, and suffer from serious ailments, they tell us they are just happy to have lived long enough to get this knowledge.

Their newfound understanding of eternity has put their relatively short years on this planet into perspective.  They see no need to hold onto material things on earth.  Rather, they choose to store up treasure in heaven and live the remainder of their lives for the Kingdom message.   In fact, they now consider themselves ‘ambassadors substituting for Christ.’

And they live up to this commission by telephoning family and friends to share their hope. They speak with other addicts still on the streets who have not yet found the courage of recovery to share with them the message of sonship.  Those who are allowed to go home often share the message with their families and even give testimonies in their churches.  As a result, we have heard from their family members who also express their deep appreciation for our work.

We have even heard from a few of the pastors who are taking the lead in ministering to these men.  While the missions have always stressed the importance of a relationship with God to support their recovery, they see a marked difference in the speed at which these men are recovering.  So many breakthroughs, so many tears of joy!  They observe a consecration that they have not seen before in people who have had such tremendous adversity in their lives.

Men from all walks of life, different races, different religions are coming together as a brotherhood.  They tell us they no longer look at color “because God doesn’t look at color.”  These men are demonstrating the power and the sublime joy of the living truth that we are all sons of God.

The pastors also tell us that using the message of sonship is the formula for success.  They have added the message to their curricula as the new way of approaching rehabilitation, including some of our articles in their materials.

The pastors are finding that much of the discussion in the missions are now centered on sonship rather than their addictions.  Bible discussions abound at night and their prayers are so heartfelt!  Not only have they observed these changes, but the pastors, too, have been profoundly affected.  Some are even using the articles in their home churches.

We are most impressed by the humility of these men and their willingness to soak up the Kingdom message.  We see in them the truth of Jesus’ words:

“And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

– Matthew 18:3-4

We are so pleased and humbled to have a sharing in this ministry and we look forward to hearing even more wonderful experiences as these men grow in the faith.

Others Affected by the Sonship Message

Not only these men, but pastor, deacons, church elders, college students, small business owners, attorneys, doctors and nurses are experiencing the power of the message of sonship.

We heard from one man who was a chronic marijuana smoker who tells us that since he has been learning about sonship, he has not smoked at all.  He shared the articles with his wife and children, and they all are enthusiastic.  They were most touched by the series The Glorious Heavenly Hope.”  They are contacting their family and friends and are sharing the message with them.  The children even take the articles to school to show classmates. We are told the family has drawn closer and he is now a better father.

We heard from a couple who are fascinated with the information on sonship.  They attend college where they share the articles with their friends.  They tell us that now their lunchtime is spent talking about sonship.  They even introduced their church deacons to the information and those men, too, are profoundly affected.  They are taking the information to the pastor of their church.

We heard from a pastor of another church who called a meeting of the elders in the church and their wives to discuss the information.  They printed out several of the articles for discussion.  They tell us the articles have opened their mind to new possibilities they had never before considered.  We look forward to hearing from them again soon.

And we have heard from so many others who expressed appreciation for the information, and share with us the effect the message of sonship has had on them.  Again, we are so pleased to have a share in this ministry.

Among Jehovah’s Witnesses

We are also working to reach the hearts of Jehovah’s Witnesses and those who take the lead among us.  We wholeheartedly believe that once the true kingdom message is revealed to them, the entire association will be uplifted, much like the individuals we mentioned above.

So far, we have heard from brothers and sisters worldwide, even elders and pioneers, who are latching onto the message of sonship. They are especially impressed with the mountain of irrefutable scriptural evidence that you are all children of God through faith.” (Galatians 3:26)

Unfortunately, many Jehovah’s Witnesses tell us that even though they realize the scriptures teach that all Christians must pursue the heavenly hope, they are going to remain loyal to “God’s earthly organization” and not pursue the hope until the Governing Body publishes that truth.  This is very disappointing.  We fear for these brothers because the gospel accounts record Jesus as saying:

“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.”

– Matthew 10:32-33

This is why we steadfastly appeal to the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses to revisit the issue of sonship, return to the original message of one hope, and publish the truth – opening the doors to the Kingdom of Heaven – so that their association of brothers will not be disapproved.

To those who have asked “What shall we do?” we encourage you to remain in your congregations and join with us in appealing to the Society to release our brothers from bondage to a hope that only leads to death. Become ambassadors substituting for Christ and boldly share the message of sonship with all who will listen.

You could, of course, leave the organization or form a new association, but what good would that do?  In truth, there are enough sects of Christianity, but not enough spirit-oriented Christians.  And while you might be benefitting yourself, what about your spiritual family?  How will you stand before the Father and explain that you saved yourself, but left behind the little ones?  Really, brothers, we are discovering that practically all Christian faiths are stumbling over the issue of sonship.  All of Christianity needs to return to the original message of the Christ – the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man.  How much better to take Paul’s counsel and ‘readjust’ rather than retreat. (Galatians 6:1) Consider also his words to the Hebrew Christians:

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

– Hebrews 10:23-25

We are excited that so many of us are experiencing the ‘freedom and glory of the children of God.’ (Romans 8:21)  But the harvest is still great, and the workers are still few. We beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38)  We pray that you, too, join us in this most important work.

In closing, we ask that no matter where you are located on this beautiful planet, no matter what your religious association, we would love to hear your experiences of how the message of sonship with God has affected your life and the lives of those around you. At this time in our history, there is no more important message than the original message of Jesus and the apostles that we are all faith-sons of the Father and brothers in union with Christ.

    We welcome your comments.
